As we know, Nokia has faced a great shift from its market leader spot after its competitors (Steve Job’s baby and other such small players) took over after the mid-2000’s. Risto Siilasmaa has served as the member of the board of Nokia since 2008, and from 2012 onwards as the chair of the board. During that period he managed to avoid a complete crash, and even put Nokia on its course toward another great period. Meanwhile he has also served as the major shareholder in F-Secure Corporation, which he founded in 1988. In addition, he has received an Honorary Membership from FiBAN for his multiple investments into high potential growth companies, such as Wolt, Small Giant Games, just to name a couple. Maybe he is Superman in his free-time? In 2018, Siilasmaa published a book about his personal experiences at Nokia: “Transforming Nokia: The Power of Paranoid Optimism to Lead Through Colossal Change”. Now he is going to share his experiences live on stage at EBAN Helsinki 2019. You wouldn’t want to miss out on learning from the best.
